Welcome
to PIAM’s Women in Medicine Bulletin. Today,
women are playing a more critical role in American medicine. At the same
time, many continue to be the primary caretakers for their children, spouse,
parents and even in-laws. This delicate balance between the demands of
caring for a growing number of patients while also taking care of family
members creates unprecedented challenges for women physicians.
