The Massachusetts Medical Society Grounds

The Massachusetts Medical Society Gardens feature winding paths through various types of trees, shrubs, herbs and flowers that bloom alternately throughout the year. There are many specimen plants with unusual features such as the fall-flowering Franklinia tree and the venerable Ginkgo, the oldest living tree species. Many of these specimens are dedicated to the memory of loved ones related to MMS employees. The following are lists of the Latin and common names of many of the plants on the property. Specimen plants will be labeled for those of you who want to take a tour of the grounds, as well as the important garden features.
